Paper Lips Sculpture

Description

Paper Lips, hand-folded from a square of watercolour paper.

The paper sculpture is created by easing curved folds into a sheet of dampened watercolour paper. As it dries, the sculpture stiffens and its new form is captured.

This sculpture has been pressed over a positive and also a negative form so that repeat versions can be achieved. Each sculpture has its own subtle variation as it is also finished and sculpted by hand.
